About unBEAcoming
unBEAcoming is a Black women’s empowerment brand dedicated to enabling Black women to shed societal constraints and embrace their true selves, thereby living the life they desire and deserve.
Redefining unBEAcoming and leveraging it as a tool for empowerment and economic justice makes unBEAcoming more than a program; it’s a movement toward a just economy where Black women enjoy increased opportunity, access, and stability.
Our mission is to support Black women in unBEAcoming everything that isn't them so they can fully embrace their potential and become everything they were meant to BEA.
Program Overview
Duration: Five months
Start Date: 2025
Participants: 15 women (selected through an interview process starting mid-September)
Notification of Selection: Before Thanksgiving
unBEAcoming centers monthly group coaching sessions. These sessions serve as the heart of unBEAcoming, providing a space for Black women to engage in the profound work of self-discovery. Through guided discussions, exercises, and peer support, participants will embark on a journey to unBEAcome what no longer serves them, fostering self-awareness, growth, and resilience.

Economic Inclusion: Equipping participants with knowledge and skills in education, employment, and entrepreneurship to open doors to new opportunities and pathways to stability.

Combating Income Inequality: Addressing wage disparities and supporting career advancement for Black women are key steps toward reducing income inequality.
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Growth: Encouraging entrepreneurship among Black women benefits individual participants, revitalizes local economies, and addresses economic disparities.
Addressing Racial Disparities: unBEAcoming aims to dismantle systemic barriers and foster a more just economic landscape.
